DESCRIPTION: An all-plastic foamboard consisting of a biodegradable polystyrene foam center, faced with water-proof biodegradable polystyrene liners. This foamboard is also completely recyclable. It is categorized as PS6 and is compatible with most municipal, commercial and industrial programs. Moisture proof and highly warp resistant. Foam contains 15% recycled content.

There is no trade-off between the positive environmental attributes of Duraplast® BIODEGRADABLE and its physical performance. With the exception of it's post-use biodegradable properties, Duraplast® BIODEGRADABLE performs the same as standard Duraplast® foamboard.

BIODEGRADABLE Polystyrene Foam Center: Rigid foamboard breaks down in landfills or composting environments in 1 to 5 years. Formulated with not less than 15% recycled content. The breakdown of the BIODEGRADABLE foamboard will not begin until the board is discarded.

LINERS: Smooth, super white high-impact facers are washable and screen printable. All-plastic cap sheets are also recyclable and biodegradable. The surface is pH neutral and compatible with cold laminating films and liquid laminating formulas.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:
Duraplast® is our most durable foam board, and offers exceptional dimensional stability. The smooth, white polystyrene surface is printable and washable. It enhances color values when screen printed and offers a super smooth, flat surface for mounting. Duraplast® is also easy to cut to a clean edge using standard methods such as routing, die-cutting, sawing, razor cutting and guillotine cutting.

Formable Into 3-D Shapes: Duraplast® can be cold bent into dimensionally stable shapes as components for exhibits and displays.

TESTING/CERTIFICATION: The biodegradation properties of material samples used in the manufacture of Insite® and Duraplast® BIODEGRADABLE foamboard were tested by an independent laboratory using standard ASTM methods, as well as other established tests.
