DESCRIPTION: Standard, paper-faced memory foamboard with Gilman's BIODEGRADABLE rigid foam center and SFI certified paper liners. There is no trade-off between the positive environmental attributes of Insite® BIODEGRADABLE and its physical performance. With the exception of it's biodegradable properties, Insite® BIODEGRADABLE performs the same as Insite® Reveal® foamboard. |
BIODEGRADABLE Polystyrene Foam Center: Rigid foamboard breaks down in landfills or composting environments in 1 to 5 years. Formulated with not less than 15% recycled content. The breakdown of the BIODEGRADABLE foamboard will not begin until the board is discarded. |
LINERS: Insite® Biodegradable is faced with smooth, bright white paper liners formulated from wood products certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI), the largest forestry products certification program in North America. |
TESTING/CERTIFICATION: The biodegradation properties of material samples used in the manufacture of Insite® and Duraplast® BIODEGRADABLE foamboard were tested by an independent laboratory using standard ASTM methods, as well as other established tests. |
